Imagine receiving anywhere from five to 25 packages a day. It may sound like a dream come true, but let me be the first to say that it can also be a nightmare to unbox, organize, and store the contents of each box, especially when you’re a self-proclaimed neat freak. As a beauty editor, on-air host, and content creator for the past 15 years, I’ll be the first to tell you that the massive amounts of makeup, hair, and skincare samples I receive on a daily basis are both a blessing and a curse — especially living in Los Angeles, where spacious apartments come at a premium.

Don’t get me wrong, I thank my lucky stars that testing new products is a necessary part of my job, and have come up with a few clever storage solutions to keep the clutter at bay so I can maintain my sanity amidst the excitement. If you share my struggle, read on to find the three essential items that I’ve purchased on Amazon that significantly help make my space look more like a well-organized apartment, and less like the back stockroom of a beauty supply store.

First, I’m a skincare fanatic, and always have been. I’ve amassed quite a dizzying collection of tantalizing serums, hydrating eye creams, luxurious face oils, and plenty more — with no end in sight. When my arsenal of products quickly took over the limited counter space I had in my bathroom, I knew I had to bring in something innovative, since the built-in drawers and adorable mini skin fridge simply weren’t cutting it for my storage needs.

Since my bathroom has more wall space than anything else, I snapped up these acrylic floating shelves to add considerably more storage space to the sink area. They were super easy to install, and hold a ton of skincare and haircare products with ease. I’m continually impressed with how durable they are (no matter how many more jars and bottles I stack on), and they’re so minimal and modern that they inspire compliments from guests time and time again.

I also love this standing shelving unit, which is so affordable and functional, that I actually purchased two. I added one in my bathroom to hold even more essential skincare products and sunscreens; and another one is on display in the corner of my kitchen counter to keep my vitamins and supplements in order. The freestanding shelf is not only attractive (I’m a sucker for anything rose gold), but it was also painless to assemble, which is priceless in my book.

And finally, I can’t say enough good things about this sizable acrylic storage case for my absurd amount of makeup. Pro tip: buy more than one (like I did) if you have room. This sleek and stylish organizer has generously sized drawers, which is a godsend for anyone who hoards eyeshadow palettes, setting powders, bronzers, highlighters, and lipsticks. This crisp and clean storage case keeps your precious products visible, accessible, and perfectly neat, which is really all a beauty lover could ever wish for.
